New super-long Sufjan song

He may not live in Michigan any more, but you can hear a little bit of Sufjan Stevens in plenty of Just Haircuts and Jackets-approved artists, so he's definitely in our coverage area.

Though he's been hush hush about what state he's covering next, The Soof has kept busy in the studio post-Illinois, recording a b-sides record and an upcoming box set of Christmas-themed EPs. He's been all over the road as well, currently on the West Coast in the midst of a tour christened "The Majesty Snowbird Tour," on which he serves as The Majesty Songbird (obvs).

Sufjan's never been hard up for inspiration, which he recently proved by penning a 10-minute-plus theme song for the tour, a song as huge and ludicrous as the plastic wings he's been wearing on stage. Pitchfork has two live videos and a live mp3 of the song

What do you think? Too much? Too little (triple-dog-dare anyone to argue that one)? It's a pretty good song, even if its extra orchestral oomph and epic length don't ellicit the same emotions called upon by "The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades is Out to Get Us!"
